Roots, Rock, & Soul Music
Julia did some thorough lurking in the visceral world of SF punk bands. When she moved East, classic honky tonk brought her back to the surface.
Julia Kasdorf has been making a strong name for herself as one of Loudoun’s top female performers with her exceptional voice and top-notch guitar skills. She has played everything from punk to jazz, and was one of the driving forces in the popular Loudoun band, One Horse Town.
Her most recently record “Motel” shows Julia to be a passionate and talented singer/songwriter. Her songs can be as big as anthems (Thin Blue Veil) , or as intimate as a confession (Reservations). Julia was voted “Best Local Artist” in 2020 in the Loudoun Times Poll, first woman ever! Julia’s songs are rockin’, visual, and moving and her delivery utterly compelling. Julia’s love of performing, solo, duo, or with her trio, Julia & the Ready boys, is evident in her mesmerizing delivery.
